Hello Bimmers, and welcome to another tip content. Today I have a 2017 BMW 5-Series G30, and she needs an oil service light reset, so I’m going to take you through it.

So if you do these jobs at home, then you’re able to finish this up; you don’t have to go to the dealer. You don’t have to get that special tool to reset the service intervals. We will do it right here, and I’m going to show you how to get rid of these codes. So let me show you how to go ahead and get this done.

Time needed: 3 minutes

Now I will walk you through how to reset the engine oil light on the new BMW 5-Series G30/G31/G38. You can also do the same thing with others service items. So the way you do this is:

  1. Hit the START button three times quickly

First, press the START button three times and wait until all of the bonds and everything goes away, so wait for that to go away before you do anything

  2. Hold down the RESET button

Then press the RESET button and hold it until the service menu shows up
