Each time a tire pressure has been adjusted or change the tire, you need to reset the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM). Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the TPM on 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 BMW 3 Series:
2006-2013 (E90 E91 E92 E93)
There are two ways to reset the tire pressure on the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series (323i 325i 325xi 330i 330xi 328i 335i). Both have different ways. Please choose 1 of the three ways below according to your vehicle trim level.
With Turn Signal Lever
Time needed: 7 minutes
Follow these instructions if your vehicle is equipped with a BC button.
- Stop the vehicle
Turn off the engine and shift to neutral position or P position
- Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

- Starting the engine
Put the key into the ignition slot, depress the brake pedal and then press the START/STOP ENGINE button
- Go to the TIRE PRESSURE menu by using the ▲or▼ button
The button is located on the turn signal lever
- Press the BC button once
You will enter the reset mode
- Hold down the BC button again for 5 seconds
A check mark will appear on the screen
- Drive the car
The system reset is completed while the car is on the move
With iDrive
Follow these instructions if your vehicle is equipped with iDrive.
- Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button to enter the main menu
- Go to the VEHICLE INFO by using the Drive controller
- Select VEHICLE STATUS
- Select RESET TPM
- Start the engine but don’t drive your car
- Start the initialization using “RESET TPM“
- Drive the car
2011-2019 (F30 F31 F34 F35)
In this BMW 320i 328i 330i 335i 320d 325d 335d, you can reset tire pressure via the menu on iDrive. Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button to enter the main menu
- Go to the VEHICLE INFO by using the Drive controller
- Select VEHICLE STATUS
- Select TIRE RESET
- Start the engine but don’t drive your car
- Start the initialization using “PERFORM RESET“
- Drive the car
2018-2021 (G20)
Just like the previous generation, you can access the tire pressure menu to reset the TPM via Drive on the 318i 320i 330i M340i 316d 318d model. Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button to enter the main menu
- Go to the MY VEHICLE by using the Drive controller
- Select VEHICLE STATUS
- Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR
- Start the engine but don’t drive your car
- Select PERFORM RESET to start the initialization
- Drive the car
