2019-2022 Honda Insight Oil Maintenance Light Reset Guide

Good morning Honda fam! So for today’s post, I’m going to go ahead and do our oil maintenance light reset on my 2022 Honda Insight. It’s pretty much going to be the same thing for the 2019 through 2022 versions. So other than that, let’s go ahead and roll up into the post.
You’ll find a lot of content on youtube or elsewhere from 2010 to 2014, but I haven’t found any with 2019 to current. Most likely, it’s the same but let’s make sure and get into it.

Here’s How You Reset Oil Maintenance Light On 2019-2022 Honda Insight
With Cluster Screen
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, I got a 2021 Honda Insight here. You can reset the oil life by using the set of buttons on this side of the steering wheel. So the way you do this is:
- Turn on the ignition
What you’re going to do is turn the key to the second position and that’s going to come up and you’re going to get the regular menu
- Press the HOME button
You want to push the home button to get the main menu
- Go to the MAINTENANCE
Then use the scroll button to go down or up to MAINTENANCE
- Press the scroll button
Next, you want to push the scroll button to enter the menu
- Hold down the scroll button
Now the next step is you need to hold down the scroll button on the Oil Life screen to enter the reset mode
- Select a maintenance item to reset
At this point, you can select a maintenance item by rolling the scroll button and pressing it to reset
With Multimedia Screen
- To get rid of that light you come up here right your infotainment and you’re gonna press the HOME button
- Then you’re gonna go to SETTINGS
- Next, you’re gonna go all the way down to VEHICLE
- From there, if you want to go to your oil light reset scroll all the way down to MAINTENANCE INFO
- Right here you can scroll down and tap the SELECT RESET ITEM
- At this point, you can tap the maintenance item that you would like to reset
Here’s an explanation of what the maintenance minder codes mean. My car came up with A1, A for the oil change, and 1 for rotate tires. I’ve done both of those so I reset them.
