Toyota Tacoma Engine Oil
With a 4-cylinder engine, Tacoma should change synthetic 0W-20 engine oil every 12 months, or 7,500-10,000 miles, whichever comes first. While for conventional oil, on the other hand, should be swapped out every 5,000 miles or six months. Since the 0W-20 has a thinner viscosity, it is more effective at cooler temperatures and helps keep critical engine components lubricated and corrosion-free.
There are no significant differences in service intervals between the 4 Cylinder and V6 engines. Remember that branded lubricants have been proven to function twice as well as aftermarket alternatives, providing higher protection against friction and wear.
