2017-2021 Range Rover Velar Oil Service Light Reset Guide (L560)
|Last Updated on August 19, 2021 by Nick
Hey everybody, it’s your car, guys Nick here. Here we have the 2018 Range Rover Velar, and I’d wanted to do an oil service light reset myself as I’ve done with most of my cars, and it was a lot easier in actually doing it.
So many of our cars will be in our inventory for a few months before they sell them. And then, when we sell them in a few months, the indicator light comes on saying that the oil change is due by time. So it’s not a bad thing to reset it.
Range Rover Velar Oil Service Light Reset Guide (L560)
Time needed: 3 minutes
So now I just wanted to show you a quick way to reset the service light, and I’ll be showing you this on the Range Rover Velar. This is a rather weird process that works on the newer models as well. So check it out.
- Open the hood and driver’s door
First, you need to have the hood open and leave the driver’s door open
- Turn on your car without starting the engine
Then we hop in the car and gonna push the START button once without any feet on the pedal
- Depress the Gas and Brake pedals
After that both feet to the floor push and hold the GAS and BRAKE pedals all the way to the floor until Service Counter Reset pops up on the dash
- Release the pedals
Now you can let off the pedals and start the engine to verify the service light has been reset
For your info, this operation work for the first generations of the Range Rover Velar L560 (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
Alright, guys, don’t take advantage of this, but I’m in the instance where you know that the vehicle’s service has been done. You could do that to reset the light without having to return to the dealership and save a lot of time. Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to share this with your friends.
