Hey yo, what’s up, everybody? Welcome to another tip content from Seven Trumpets. Today, we will show you how to reset the service or spanner light on the new Citroen C3.
So when you turn on the car’s ignition, you’ll get the service light there and a little spanner annexed to the mileage. This is a SERVICE light message which reminds you of your vehicle’s service schedule. It also appears the number of kilometers to the service date or the number of kilometers after the service is due.

Time needed: 3 minutes
This section will show you how to reset the service light that appears on the Citroen C3 dash. We’ll be using the 🔧 spanner button that’s on the dash to do this. So let me show you how it’s done.
- Turn off the ignition
The first step we have to do is turn off the car engine
- Hold down one of the following buttons while turn on the car
Then you need to press and hold one of the following buttons here on the cluster, then you switch the ignition on and the countdown will begin
- Continue to hold down the button
Keep hold the button and as you can see on the screen the countdown is on and as soon as it gets to zero. The spanner light on the left would disappear and the re-initiate is done
- Shut the vehicle off and then start it back up to verify the indicator has been reset
Done!
So that’s how you reset the service light. For your info, this operation work for the third generation of the Citroen C3 (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 model years). Leave a comment if you have any questions about that. So thanks for reading and see you next time.
Thank you , very helpful.
Did not work, the zero came up but there was no countdown. Car was only serviced about 5 months ago, so don’t know why the spanner is showing.
Thanks for info. Worked for me
Yes it did work.
That’s twice I have done it.
Easy peasy
My spanner light came on yesterday and was a bit worried. After watching this all I can say is thank you for the info.
Thx, but how it can be fixed if I don’t have ignition switch ,I’ve auto start button instead.
