Hi, mister! What is going on? Today we are doing an oil change on a 2019 Kia Optima. Your Kia Optima warranty might be expiring here within the next half a year, or it may be expired depending on the year, and you might be looking into doing an oil change and service light reset by yourself.
I highly suggest it because it’s super easy. It is very inexpensive, and I’m going to show you how to do it in this content. So let’s go ahead now and try it for ourselves.

For your info, this operation work for the fourth and fifth generations of the Kia Optima (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we have a 2017 Kia Optima, and I’m gonna be showing you how to reset your oil life or service light. So the first thing you’re gonna have to do is:
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START button two times without step on any pedal
Then you’re gonna be looking at the display and you’re gonna push this ❏ menu button until you get to the 🔧 wrench icon
Find the service reminder by using the ▲/▼ up or down button
Once the service minder is displayed you’re gonna push the OK button and hold it down until the light resets
So that’s pretty much it. If you find this content useful, please share it and like my page, as there will be more posts coming out shortly. I appreciate you guys for tuning in. So thank you for your time, and have a great day.
