I made this content just to help the novice; it’s not for the expert. I’m creating this content because I think it’s a great truck, and I hope that you know you do, too, if you’ve got one. So I’m happy to report that I’d also like to share with you.

Time needed: 3 minutes

This is how to reset an oil maintenance light on the 2017 Nissan Titan diesel. So unlike other Nissan’s I’ve worked on that use a shadow box to control the driver information center, you just use the arrow and enter button on the new Titan. So let me do that right now.

  1. Turn on your car without starting the engine

This vehicle has a keyless start, so the place you start out first is to push your keyless button twice without hitting the brake pedal and it’ll turn your accessory lights on

  2. Go to the SETTINGS

Then on the left of your steering here you have the left and right arrows and the enter button. You will scroll to the right until you come to SETTINGS

  3. Scroll down to MAINTENANCE

Now use your enter button here and scroll down to the MAINTENANCE and push the button in

  4. Select OIL AND FILTER or OIL CONTROL SYSTEM

After that, click enter on the OIL AND FILTER or OIL CONTROL SYSTEM

  5. Get RESET

Now click the button down to the RESET but if there is no reset option you just need to hold the Enter button down for about three seconds

  6. Click on YES

It’ll ask you if you want to reset. For sure click YES and push the enter button to confirm

So that’s all there is to reset the oil life on your Nissan Titan (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 model years). There’s a lot of stuff to reset, but that’s basically how to reset all your maintenance lights. I hope you all find it useful. So thanks a bunch for reading, and see you next time.
