2015-2020 GMC Canyon Oil Life Light Change Engine Oil Minder Reset – GMC Canyon is mid-size pickups manufactured by GMC since 2004, which replaced the Chevrolet S-10. Pick up version of the first generation GMC Canyon are 4×2 or 4×4 with full weight 2,1-2,4 t depending on the type of cabin (short, long and double) with carrying capacity of 600-700 kg and useful body length 1.45 m or 1.85. The standard for them is an inline gasoline 4-cylinder engine (2.77 liters, 175 hp), an inline 5-cylinder (3.46 liters, 220 hp) is installed upon request.
Both engines are based on the inline “six” used on off-road car GMC Envoy. Transmission – 5-speed manual, in order – 4-speed automatic. For options 4×2 front independent suspension spring for 4×4 – torsion, back to all performances – dependent spring. Since 2005 pick-up can be equipped with sports suspension version, thus reducing the total height of the machine.

When the remaining oil life is low, the Change Engine Oil Soon warning will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your GMC Canyon:
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press and holds the Engine Start/Stop button for 5 seconds without touching the brake pedal
The button is located on the steering wheel
Press the ✓ button to enter the menu
Use the ▲ or ▼ button to scroll down
On some models, a confirmation message will appear on the display, select YES to confirm
Done!
