Howdy, my friend! How is it going? This is a very quick and short DIY on resetting your oil service required light on the Renault Trafic. So you need to do this after you just did your own oil change or wherever you got an oil change, but they forgot to reset the interval.
It’s a nice feature. You no longer have to have a sticker in the top corner of your windshield looking disgusting. You can just do this, and it’s very easy, and you can do it at any time. So I highly suggest doing this.
Time needed: 3 minutes
So now we’re in a 2017 Renault Trafic, and this service light is currently on this car. We’re going to remove it now. So the first thing you need to do is:
Insert your keys in the ignition and turn it on but don’t start the engine
Then using the up or down buttons on the end of the stalk we are going to scroll through until we find Service Intervals
After that, we’re just going to hold down either one until that changes to either tell you how much time is left or it’ll just say service required
Next, you just hold that button down again until it starts to flash and keep holding it down until the flashing stops and the the new intervals will comes up
For your info, this operation work for the third generation of the Renault Trafic (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 model years).
So that’s it, your job is done. If you have any questions, leave a comment in the comment section below and see my other how-to content. So thank you for stopping by, and I’ll see you in the next one.
