2015-2022 Nissan Murano Oil Maintenance Light Reset Guide

We’ve changed the oil and filter, so now we’re going to go inside the Nissan Murano, and we’re going to reset the maintenance required light on the dashboard.

It’s essential, though, to make sure you reset your oil maintenance reminder light. A lot of people overlook it, a lot of shops even overlook it. So if you get your oil changed at an oil change place and forget to reset it for you, now you know how to reset it yourself.

This section will show you how to reset the oil maintenance light on a 2017 Nissan Murano. All you need to do is you’re going to use the digital display on the dash up there and the button on the steering wheel. So let’s get into it now.

Turn on your car without starting the engine
If your car has a Smart key button, press the START button two times without step on any pedal
Go to the ⚙️ SETTINGS
Then go to the ◄or► button right here and you’re going to scroll through until you reach the ⚙️ SETTINGS
Press OK button
Once you get to the Settings you’re going to go to the OK button
Scroll down and select the MAINTENANCE
Next, you’re gonna use the ▼ button to scroll down to get to MAINTENANCE and press OK
Select the OIL AND FILTER
After that, you can see the OIL and FILTER, so go ahead and press the OK button again
Highlight and select RESET
Go down to RESET and then you’re gonna hit OK
Select YES
Finally, confirm reset by select YES and you’re ready to go for till your next oil change

For your info, this operation work for the third generation of the Nissan Murano (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).

Excellent guide. Worked like a charm. But now I'm stuck with SETTINGS on the screen and no amount of button pushing gets me out of it. LOL
