Reset Guide: Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 Oil Service Light (2020-2022)

I saw that the service light had been on for months and that service is simply an oil change since the vehicle is no longer under warranty. Thus, this is as good a moment as any to begin doing everything myself. So let’s go through the steps to reset it.

Now that you change your oil, you will want to get rid of the service message. I think this I do it, so go from the primary screen, and then you’re going to push the Back button and the Selector pad at the same time for a few seconds. So here’s how it’s done.
- Turn the ignition key to position 1
Start by pushing the START button once and waiting for the screen to come up
- Make sure the TRIP is displayed
Then you have to make sure you’re on the TRIP screen. So if you’re in the main menu you just push the HOME button and then select TRIP
- Press and hold the BACK button and the Selector pad
After that, you have to hold in the BACK button and your other finger on the Selector pad for five seconds
- Get to the WORKSHOP menu
Next, you push the HOME button to get into your main menu and you’re going to go over to the right until you get the WORKSHOP
- Go to ASSYST PLUS
This time we’re going to reset the oil service. So we’ll go to ASSYST PLUS
- Press the START button again
Now you need to turn on the ignition to position 2, so you need to press the START button one more time
- Select a FULL-SERVICE
Once it does, we’re gonna select a FULL-SERVICE
- Scroll down and select CONFIRM SERVICE
From there, you want to scroll down and then select CONFIRM SERVICE
- Choose the oil grade and confirm it
Then select your oil grade service to be carried out and confirm it
