Hi, guys; in today’s post, let us see how to reset the oil service interval or inspection light on the VW Volkswagen Polo. The car we have here is a 2011 Volkswagen Polo 1.6 petrol and the car was due for a service.
So if we notice on the dash, we have something that says inspection, and if we go ahead and it says it’s six days past the service interval, that’s zero kilometers. The service has now been done, so let’s see how to go ahead and reset that to its original 15,000 or 372 days of the service interval.

In this section, I will show you how to reset the service light in a 2011 Volkswagen Polo. So if you’re turning the ignition on and an oil change is come up, then after service, you want to get rid of the light. This is what you’re going to have to do.
- Take an ignition off
Make sure your vehicle is completely stopped
- Hold down the 0.0/SET button while turn on the car
Then you’re gonna press and hold the 0.0 button as you put the ignition on without starting the engine
- Press the ❏ button
As soon as the ignition is turned on you swap over and you press the ❏ button (left button) quickly and it will reset

- Put the ignition off
- Hold down the ❏ button on the dash and turn the ignition on while holding it
- Then it’ll ask you for the reset oil service. So let go of the ❏ button and press the 0.0/SET button on the right

The inspection would do exactly the same thing for the service. So if you’re a have done with service and you know you need to get it done.
Polo Without Text Display
- So the first thing we will have to do is turn the ignition off
- Then turn on the hazard light
- Next, go ahead and hold down the 0.0/SET button then turn the ignition on
- After which we can release the 0.0/SET button and press the ❏ button on the left so that will reset
Polo With Text Display
- Turn off your car
- Hold the ❏ button down while turning the ignition on
- After that, it will ask you to reset the oil service, but if want to reset the inspection you can press the ❏ button on the left again and it’ll ask about resetting the inspection
- So now you can press the 0.0/SET button to reset it
