The Suzuki SX4 is a passenger car of the Japanese carmaker Suzuki, built-in 2006 in two generations. My daughter’s Suzuki SX4 S-Cross has the service light that comes on when we turn it on, I think it needs an oil change, and we’re going to go through the process of resetting that.

So when the engine oil needs to replace, you’ll see the Oil Change Required or Change Oil message on the dash screen. It is time for regular service, so you might go ahead and get everything done as well.

I just found out today what we have to do for the diesel ones that don’t have reset oil change on the cluster menu. So let’s try to do it.

  • First, with the ignition off depress the Gas pedal to the floor and keep it there the whole process
  • Then we’re not going to start the engine. So if your car has an ignition button, with your foot off of the brake push the START button two times. If you have a key ignition you can rotate the key until you get to accessory mode
  • Now press the LEFT knob on the dash to get to the TRIP B
  • After doing that you need to press and hold the RIGHT knob until you finish the next step
  • Next, step on the Brake pedal 3 times with your left foot and you’re done

FAQ – Suzuki SX4 Engine Oil

What type of oil does a Suzuki SX4 take?

The recommended oil for your Suzuki SX4 is SAE 5W-30. Using the proper oil for your Suzuki SX4 is essential. If you use improper oil in your vehicle, you might damage the engine or even nullify the warranty.

How often should the engine oil be changed?

The manufacturer recommends an oil change every 7,500 miles or 12 months. You should check a car’s oil level every few weeks or after a long journey, and oil changes should be a regular aspect of vehicle maintenance. If the oil level is low, simply replenish it.
