When engine oil service is due, maintenance message and the distance to oil change information will appear on the display. The engine oil change interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the maintenance light on your Infiniti QX70:
- Turn the ignition key to ON position without starting the engine
If your car has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button until you see the “SETTING” screen
The button is located on the instrument cluster
- Scroll to the MAINTENANCE menu by using the [wp-svg-icons icon=”radio-checked” wrap=”i”] button
Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button to enter the menu
- Scroll to the OIL menu
Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button to enter the menu
- On this menu, you can choose RESET or set the distance for engine oil interval
This menu lets you set an oil and filter reminder at a specific interval or reset the current one
Method 2:
There are two ways to reset Engine Oil Maintenance Service Minder Light on Infiniti QX70, conform to the following instructions:
- Turn the ignition key to “ON” position without starting the engine
- Hit the INFO button (located on the Navigation system control)
- Select MAINTENANCE and press the ENTER button
- Select the ENGINE OIL
- On this menu, you can choose RESET or set the distance for engine oil interval
- To reset the engine oil interval, highlight the RESET and push the ENTER button.
- Next, repeat these steps for OIL FILTER to reset the oil filter interval if needed
- Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
