2012-2018 Fiat 500 Abarth Change Engine Oil Minder Light Reset – The new Fiat 500 is a mini-sized city car Fiat. Since autumn 2008, the new 500 is available in 500 Abarth sporting versions. In line with the 500 Abarth of the 1960s and the Grande Punto Abarth, Fiat has developed three versions: the road with an engine 1368 cm3 turbo developing 135 hp (99 kW) or 160 hp (118 kW) with EsseEsse kit wheels, brakes, suspensions, and mapping modified by a kit.

This version is not available in the United States when it was sold as the Fiat 500 Abarth with a specific engine 1.4 turbo 165 hp and 250 Nm, the same MultiAir engine as animating the Abarth Punto Evo (unlike other countries where it is called Abarth 500) since 2011. Or 190 hp (140 kW) in the version Assetto Corse specially dedicated to racing enthusiasts and other competitions. In spring 2010, Abarth launch the sports version of the 500C, the convertible version of the 500.

2012-2018 Fiat 500 Abarth Change Engine Oil Minder Light Reset

Time needed: 7 minutes

When the remaining oil life is low, the Change Oil Soon message will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your Fiat 500 Abarth:

  1. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position

    Don’t start the engine!

  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal to the floor slowly 3 times within five seconds

    If the CHANGE OIL SOON light blinks, the system is resetting

  3. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset

    Done!
