What’s going on, fellas! Today I’ve got a Fiat 500L, and I’m going to use it to point out to you how to reset the change oil reminder or service light that shows up on the dash.
I know oil change light reset is really basic, but for people who don’t know how to do it, here you go, guys. I know there’s not a lot of videos out there on or at least good videos on how to. So I’m going to go ahead and try my best to produce some quality content for you guys here.
2014-2020 Fiat 500L Oil Change/Service Light Reset Guide
Time needed: 3 minutes
So I just finished the oil change on this Fiat 500L. And now I’m going to go ahead and show you guys how to do the oil service light reset on this one. It’s fairly easy.
- Turn on the ignition
Start with you’re going to turn the key to the on position without starting up the engine
- Step on the Accelerator pedal 3 times
Then you’re gonna push down and release the Accelerator pedal three times within ten seconds. So just push it down you can do it more than three times but the key is it’s got to happen at least three times
- Start the engine
After you do that you can restart the vehicle and you should see that the change oil light is off
So that’s how you reset on this car (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 model years). Hopefully, you got some tips and tricks from this content. Let me know if you have any questions or any advice about the Fiat 500. I will be doing a lot more how-to posts. So thank you guys for your time, and have a good time.
This procedure is not working for the 2 cylinder 105hp Fiat 500L Living Lounge versions. (jan 2015 model.) Do you have a procedure for that one?
