This message will continue to display once you start the car unless reset. So come on, let’s take a walk down there, and I’ll show you to do it.

How Often Does Dodge Recommend Oil Changes?
Your car’s engine can benefit from regular oil changes. Not only does it remove dirt, but it also helps increase the engine’s efficiency. An efficient engine runs smoother and gets better gas mileage. Regular oil changes can also help reduce sludge buildup in the piping of the engine, allowing the car to perform better on the road. Oil changes are an important part of maintaining your Dodge vehicle.
If you want to extend the life of your vehicle’s engine, you should opt for high-quality synthetic oil. These oils are designed to last for at least 10,000 miles. They also provide exceptional oxidation resistance and maintain performance even under extreme temperatures. These oils can also reduce smoke and emissions from your vehicle, especially if your car is older.
Check the manufacturer’s recommendations if you’re wondering how often your Dodge vehicle should have an oil change. Engine oil recommendations vary depending on engine size and climate. For example, a 5.7-liter engine should use 5W-30 oil. However, the recommended amount of oil for your vehicle will depend on whether you’re in a cold or hot climate.
Oil changes can increase your car’s performance and extend its life. A clean engine does not have to work as hard and does not suffer from unnecessary stress. This stress can lead to malfunctions or even breakdowns. These issues can be expensive to fix, so spending on regular oil changes can help you avoid costly repairs in the future.
FAQ – Dodge Durango Engine Oil
For a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, the manufacturer recommends 6 quarts of SAE 0W-20 motor oil, preferably synthetic. To properly maintain a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8’s ruthless performance, you’ll need 7 quarts of 5W-20 engine oil. There is no doubt that going fully synthetic is the best option.
The 2007 Dodge Durango owner’s handbook specifies Mobil 1’s Extended Performance SAE 5W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil. You may get this at any shop if you intend to change the oil. If not, you may ask for this specific oil when you have an oil change.
Service shops and dealerships will charge you between $134 and $143. (between labor and necessary parts). If you are comfortable with the process, you may save a lot of money by changing your oil yourself. The recommended oils for Durangos cost between $4 and $12.49 per quart or $10 and $40 for five quarts.
