When engine oil needs to replace, Oil Change Required or Change Oil message will appear on the display. The engine oil life system must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your outboard. Follow the instructions below to reset the Oil Change Required Light on your Suzuki Marine Outboard:
- Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position
If your Outboard has a keyless start system, turn the main switch to the [wp-svg-icons icon=”switch” wrap=”i”] position and then release it.
- Remove the safety lanyard
Pull out the emergency stop switch plate
- Pull up the emergency stop switch knob 3 times in 10 seconds
You’ll hear a beep if the reset is completed
- Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position,
If your Outboard has a Smart key button, turn the main switch to the [wp-svg-icons icon=”switch” wrap=”i”] position and then release it.
- Set the safety lanyard to its original position
