BMW X1 Routine Maintenance Service
If you want to ensure your BMW runs smoothly, then it’s time to perform routine maintenance. You should change your oil, check the coolant level, change the cabin filters and change the transmission fluid. Then, you should have your car inspected every 30,000 miles to ensure it’s working correctly.
Check coolant level
Checking your BMW’s coolant level is an essential part of routine maintenance. If your car shows a low coolant level warning light, you should stop immediately at a safe location. This will help you avoid possible accidents and damage to your car. Also, you should check your coolant level before you drive your vehicle.
Usually, you will find the coolant reservoir on the left side of the engine. Refer to your owner’s manual for details. Remove the cap and check the level of the coolant. If the coolant level is too low, you can mix some water to raise it. Alternatively, you can use premixed BMW coolant to fill up the vehicle.
Oil Change
Changing the oil in your BMW is a crucial part of maintaining the performance and longevity of your vehicle. It will ensure that all internal components of your engine are functioning correctly and prevent dirt from collecting inside. Furthermore, frequent oil changes will improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. BMW recommends that you change the oil at least once a year.
BMW offers several maintenance programs, but the best option is to follow the recommended schedules. A reputable BMW repair shop can advise you on the recommended service intervals for your vehicle. They can also inform you about other necessary maintenance measures, such as intake carbon cleaning. Following the recommended BMW fluids and routine maintenance schedule can lower the risk of expensive repairs or replacements.
FAQ – BMW X1 Engine Oil
