2009-2022 Ford E250 E350 Oil Life/Oil Change Light Reset Guide

Hello everybody! This is Nick again with another post on how to do it yourself, and today I will write concise content that is nothing complex or anything like that. And the post today is basically on how to reset the oil life or oil change light in a Ford E250/E350.

That’s the light that comes in the dash when you need to change your engine oil. It’s something that you can do yourself. So let me guide you through the procedure.

Ford E250 E350 Oil Life/Oil Change Light Reset Guide

It’s worth noting that the method you use will be determined by the year and type of your car (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).

2009-2020 E250/E350

With Pedal Method

Press the engine start button one time or if you use a key stick the key in the ignition and turn the key to the on position but don’t start the car
Then press the BRAKE and GAS pedals all the way to the floor at the same time and the service oil reset in progress message will come up
Continue holding the pedals all the way to the floor for about 20 seconds until it says service oil reset complete
You can now lift your feet off the pedals great job you’re done

With Cluster Button

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, fellows, I will show you how to reset the oil minder on this Ford E250/E350 through the cluster menu. So all you’ve got to do is:

Turn on the ignition
Take the key and go to the second position
Go to the HOLD RESET FOR SETUP MENU screen
Then you use the SELECT/RESET button to you scroll around until you get to the HOLD RESET FOR SETUP MENU
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button
Next, hold the SELECT/RESET button down till you’re in there and then it says OIL LIFE HOLD RESET NEW
Hold down the SELECT/RESET button again
When it says OIL LIFE HOLD RESET NEW, you need to hold it down again and it’s going to cycle through so wait till the oil life gets to 100 and release it
Start the car
To ensure that the indication has been reset, turn off the ignition and start the engine

2021-2022 E250/E350

First i’m going to turn the ignition to the on. Not turning the engine completely on but just to the on position
Then we’re gonna scroll to the left and you’re gonna come to your main menu

Next, scroll down to where it says DRIVER ASSIST and click OK on that
Right there we’ll go to where it says MAINTENANCE MONITOR click OK on that again
At this point you’re gonna hold down the OK button and as you can see the oil life has been reset
