2007-2011 Acura CSX Service Light Oil Life Indicator Reset – The Acura CSX is an entry-level sedan for Honda’s luxury brand. Launched in 2006, the CSX is actually a three-seat Honda Civic whose front end and equipment have been improved. It is only sold in Canada.
In France, it is sold under the name of Honda Civic IMA which is a hybrid model. It also exists in sport version which has a 2L of 197 horsepower, that of Civic Type-R known in Europe and Japan and North American Civic Si. During 2008, the CSX underwent a slight facelift that affected mainly the front with the adoption of a new grille that becomes chrome. It has a manual five- or six-speed (Type-S) or five-speed automatic transmission.
2007-2011 Acura CSX Service Light Oil Life Indicator Reset
Time needed: 7 minutes
If the engine oil life is less than 15%, the Service light will appear on the information display. The maintenance minder information display must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the service light on your Acura CSX:
- Turn the ignition key to position “ON” (II) without starting the engine
If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Press the Select/Reset button repeatedly until the “Oil Life Percentage” appears on the display
The button is located on the left side of the steering wheel
- Press and hold the button until the oil life percentage begins to blink
Press the SEL/RESET button for about 10 seconds and then release the button
- Finally, depress the button again until the oil life percentage resets to 100%
Press the SEL/RESET button for more than 5 seconds.
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
