2004-2013 Infiniti QX56 Engine Oil Light Maintenance Minder Reset – The QX56 is a large-size SUV from Infiniti. The car is powered by a 5.6L VK56DE V8 (315 hp [227 kW] @ 4900 pm and 390 lb-ft (529 mN) torque @ 3600 rpm), and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Each cylinder of the engine is aligned with cast iron. The valvetrain is a DOHC design with four valves per cylinder.
As with the Nissan Armada, it is built in Canton, Mississippi, and is currently only available in the United States, Canada, Russia and Saudi Arabia. It is also the first Infiniti built in the United States. Since lower prices than the Lexus LX, the QX56 became a success for Infiniti, outselling the Lexus LX. Since the disappearance of the Q45 (which was the QX56 prices above), after 2006, the QX56 is the most expensive Infiniti in North America and is only Infiniti in vehicle size. For 2008, the Infiniti QX56 received a small facelift.

2004-2013 Infiniti QX56 Engine Oil Light Maintenance Minder Reset
Time needed: 7 minutes
When engine oil service is due, maintenance message and the distance to oil change information will appear on the display. The engine oil change interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the maintenance light on your Infiniti QX56:
- Turn the ignition key to ON position without starting the engine
If your car has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button until you see the “SETTING” screen
The button is located on the instrument cluster
- Scroll to the MAINTENANCE menu by using the [wp-svg-icons icon=”radio-checked” wrap=”i”] button
Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button to enter the menu
- Scroll to the OIL menu
Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”copy” wrap=”i”] button to enter the menu
- On this menu, you can choose RESET or set the distance for engine oil interval
This menu lets you set an oil and filter reminder at a specific interval or reset the current one
Infotainment Display Method:
- Turn the ignition key to position “ON” without starting the engine, If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Hit the INFO button on the Control Panel
- Scroll down to “Maintenance” by using the joystick and hit ENTER
- Select “Engine Oil” (If your vehicle is not equipped with a navigation system, you will only see “Reminder 1” on the screen) and press ENTER
- Select “Reset” and press ENTER
- Repeat that step for reset OIL FILTER (Reminder 2) if needed
Trip Button Method (for 2004-2007 model):
- Turn the ignition key to position “ON” without starting the engine
- Hit the TRIP button on the Control Panel until you see the Maintenance menu
- Select “Engine Oil” by using the joystick
- Select “Reset” and confirm it by pressing the center of the joystick
- Repeat that step for reset TIRE ROTATION if needed
