2003-2011 Mercedes-Benz R230 Service Light Reset (SL550 SL600 SL55) – The Mercedes-Benz R 230 is a roadster of the Mercedes-Benz brand. It was introduced to the German market on 13 October 2001 and produced at the Mercedes-Benz Bremen plant. He became the successor of the Mercedes-Benz R 129. As a special feature, the R 230 comes as standard (SL 350 optional) with active suspension Active Body Control (ABC).
By the end of 2009, around 150,000 SL of the R 230 had been delivered to customers. Already in November 2011, the R 230 was no longer available, on November 30, then ran the last R 230, and SL 350, from the band, in which a total of 169 434 units have been produced. In March 2012, the internal R 231 called successor appeared. With just over ten years of production time, the R 230 is one of the longest produced vehicles of its time.

When maintenance service is due, the Service minder or Spanner light will appear on the display. The service minder information display must be reset after performed the maintenance service on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Service Minder light on your Mercedes-Benz R230:
- Turn the ignition key to position “ON” (II) without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the ENGINE START STOP button twice without touching the brake pedal
- Go to SERVICE MINDER menu by pressing the ?/? button
The button is located on the steering wheel
- Press and hold the TRIP button until reset mode appears on the display
The button is located on the cluster
- Press and hold the TRIP RESET button again to confirm
