2001-2010 VW Volkswagen Sharan Oil Light Service Minder Reset – The Volkswagen Sharan minivan is a vehicle of the German manufacturer Volkswagen. The joint construction project for the Volkswagen Sharan, Seat Alhambra, and Ford Galaxy models began in 1991. These projects have been made for manufacturers wanting to offer minivans in Europe.

Volkswagen branded it under its own brand in 1995 at the same time as Seat with the Alhambra version. Each of the three models has its own exterior finishes (headlights, shields, …) and interior (for the Ford). In 2007, annual production was 50,000 units and these are sold in Europe, South Africa, some Asian and Latin American countries.

2001-2010 VW Volkswagen Sharan Oil Light Service Minder Reset

Time needed: 7 minutes

If you exceed the specified service interval, the Service minder Light will blink and you should reset the service interval. Perform the following step to reset service light on your Volkswagen Sharan:

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
Do not start the engine!
There are two knobs in the instrument cluster, press LEFT one repeatedly until you see the TRIP or miles
Make sure you are in the Trip menu
Turn OFF the ignition
Turn off ignition immediately when you are on the trip menu
Press and hold the RIGHT knob and then turn the ignition switch to the ON position again
Press and hold the button for 5 seconds
Turn the LEFT knob clockwise
The service light will disappear on the display
Turn off the ignition and start the engine and verify the indicator has been reset.
