What’s going on, guys! Welcome back to my site. Today, I will show you how you can reset the oil service minder light on the Volkswagen New Beetle.
So if you exceed the specified service interval, you’ll see the Service minder light on your dash. So you need to change the oil and do some maintenance on your Beetle. Once the oil change has been completed, you need to reset the oil service interval. So let’s do it.
Time needed: 3 minutes
All right, we’re in the 2005 Volkswagen New Beetle. And now, let me show you how to reset the spanner or service light in this car by using the cluster button. So the first and foremost you do is:
Make sure the vehicle is completely stopped
Now hold down the TRIP button on the dash as you turn your key to the on position
Once its comes up you will see the spanner symbol the screen. So let’s release and press the button again and just keep it pressed until this spanner on the display disappears and you’re done
For your info, this operation work for the VW or Volkswagen New Beetle (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 model years).
Okay, all done now. We can check this everything correct like you can see everything is reset to another service. So thank you for your time, and have a good day.
