Hi Yomita,
I have a Coolpix S9700 that got exposed to a light amount of rain. Since that event, I have been unable to get it to start. I can get the power to start, but the screen will either say “set time and date?” or “Mode dial is not in the proper position”. Either way, that is as far as I can get it to go. No other buttons will work; none. I spoke with Nikon Tech and they said “no parts made for it anymore and recommended taking it to a certified Nikon repair”. Other than a repair shop, am I out of luck doing anything with it on my own? Thank you.
