How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Chevrolet SS (2013-2017)

What’s up, guys! Today we will be resetting the oil life or oil change light on this Chevrolet SS. It should only take about three to five minutes, so let me show you how I do it.
So the other day, when I performed the oil change on my Chevy SS sedan, I forgot to reset the oil life monitoring system. Now we’re going to do that so that you know the steps to do it on your vehicle. So let’s get into it now.
How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Chevrolet SS (2013-2017)
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we have the 2017 Chevrolet SS. Let’s do this to reset the oil life on this car.
- Turn on the ignition
Get in the car turn the key to the on position so everything lights up on your dashboard
- Go to the VEHICLE INFORMATION menu
Then you would come over to the MENU button and you would press it till you come to the VEHICLE INFORMATION MENU
- Scroll down to the OIL LIFE
Next, you come to the directional lever and you scroll either up or down until you get the OIL LIFE
- Hit the SET/CLR button
After that, you’ll press the end of the stalk which says SET/CLR and it’ll ask you are sure you want to reset?
- Select YES
To reset it, you’ll rotate the thumbwheel till it says YES and then you press the SET/CLR button so it resets to 100%
