How to Store and Reset the Roland HP-506 Digital Piano

The Roland Corporation started making digital pianos many, many years ago and is well known throughout the world for building higher quality, advanced digital music products that piano students, players, teachers, professional musicians, churches, and studios use. In 2014, Roland have launched a new series of ‘HP’ digital pianos. The New HP Series of Digital Pianos from Roland provide the ultimate in design, playability and value through the continued application of new technology, while paying homage to the tradition that is the acoustic piano.

One of the latest products in the Roland HP series is HP506. The bigger-brother to the HP504, the HP506 is aimed towards young students and more advanced players. This mid-range HP piano uses the same SuperNATURAL sound engine as the other models in the series, but introduces the Acoustic Projection sound system, PHA-4 Concert-class keyboard and is available in Contemporary Black or Rosewood finishes. Elegant with a timeless design that’s as nice to look at as it is to play.

Memory Backup:

If you want to store the settings so that they will be retained even after the power is turned off, first hold the Song Balance button while simultaneously press the AB Repeat button. Select the “BACKUP” menu by using Slow/Fast buttons and then press the SONG button. When the “Backup?” screen  appears, press the Fast (>) button to select “Y” and to go ahead with the function. Finally, when the memory backup has been completed press AB Repeat button to finish the procedure.

Factory Reset:

To restoring the factory setting your Roland LX-15e, first hold the Song Balance button while simultaneously press the AB Repeat button. Select the “FctReset” menu by using Slow/Fast buttons and then press the SONG button. When the “Reset OK?” screen  appears, press the Fast (>) button to select “OK” and to start initialization of the program. Finally, when the factory reset has been completed, please turn the power off, then on again. The Factory Reset procedure is complete.

Warning! When you execute “Factory Reset,” all stored settings will be erased and returned to the factory settings. Do not use this function unless you are certain that you want to do this.
