Sigma DP3 Merrill has major advantages, namely the APS-C size sensor (23.4 x 15.7 mm) with a 50 mm lens that produces images comparable to full-frame 75-mm camera. Sigma DP3 Merrill offers a 46MP camera sensor compact camera that is capable of producing images in more detail. The sensor is ‘Foveon X3 Merrill device’ that can make use of different colors of light to penetrate silicon to different depths. In essence, the Foveon X3 direct capture light through receptors 15, 26 at three different depths.

At the rear, there is a 3-inch LCD screen with 920,000 dots. Sigma claims that the display of DP3 Merrill has good visibility in various lighting conditions. For a pocket camera, the Sigma DP Merrill offers high-end features in a compact camera. Unfortunately, this camera only has the ability to record VGA quality video, not Full HD as offered by other manufacturers at this time.

 

Factory Reset:

To restoring Sigma DP3 Merrill to it’s factory settings, conform to the following instructions:

• Turn on your Sigma DP3 Merrill
• Rotate the comand dial to highlight the “Camera Setting” tab, which is represented by a wrench icon
