How To Reset Renault Espace Service Reminder Light (2002-2014) – The Espace is a large Renault-sized minivan. In mid-80 Renault launched a project called Espace. This prototype was so successful that the company decided to produce the car in series with the same name as the prototype. This model was very innovative in the market because it was one of the first minivans on the market. It has a clone in Brazil called Grancar Futura, which was the first Brazilian minivan. We never hit the market in Brazil. The Espace managed five stars of five possible according to the EuroNCAP crash test.

At the IAA in Frankfurt 2013, the Initiale Paris concept was presented as a preview on the new Espace. In 2014, New Espace is revealed and from 2015 to the crossover MPV evolved available. At present there are three engines, a 1.6 TCe petrol engine with 200 hp and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, the diesel range consists of a 1.6 dCi 130 with manual transmission and a 1.6 dCi 160 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 160 hp 1.6 DCi is a twin-turbo engine. Equipment levels are Expression (only 1.6 dCi 130), Dynamique and Initiale Paris (only 1.6 dCi 160 and 1.6 TCe 200).

How To Reset Renault Espace Service Reminder Light (2002-2014)

Time needed: 7 minutes

When engine oil needs to replace, a spanner light with a service minder message will appear on the display. The oil change interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Service Minder Light on your Renault Espace:

  1. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position

    Don’t start the engine

  2. Press the TRIP button repeatedly until Oil Change Interval appears on the display

    The button is located on the end of the turn signal lever 
    service minder spanner light reset

  3. Push & hold the TRIP button until Oil Change Interval flashing

    Press and hold the button for approximately 10 seconds

  4. Keep holding the button until the new Oil Change Interval appears on the display

    Release the button when the display stops flashing

  5. Turn the ignition to off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
