Hey guys, what’s up! Toyota Corolla is a compact sedan, the most desirable car in the world. Since its first appearance in 1966, this car has achieved record sales of more than 30 million units worldwide. So are you looking for a way to reset the maintenance warning light on the Toyota Corolla?

If the engine oil needs to replace you will see the MAINT REQD message on your cluster screen. The oil change is pretty much as essential as it can get as far as maintenance for your vehicle. The engine oil maintenance data must be reset after performing the engine oil change on your car.

Time needed: 3 minutes

This section will show you how to reset the Maint Reqd or maintenance required light on the old Toyota Corolla. I’m working on 2008, so this will be the same from 2003 come all the way up to 2008. So if your Corolla looks like this, it’s going to be the same procedure. So let’s do it.

  1. Turn on your car

Get in the car and start your vehicle

  2. Set your odometer to the ODO

Make sure to set your odometer not to the Trip A or Trip odometer but to the regular ODO that reads the miles that are on the vehicle by using the ODO/TRIP button
    oil maint reqd reset button

  3. Next, turn the key off

Then you need to switch the key off with the ODO reads on the odometer

  4. Press and hold the ODO/TRIP button and turn the ignition key to the ON position

Now I’m gonna hold the ODO/TRIP button down as I turn turn the key back on without starting the engine

  5. Keep holding the button

After that, you’ll see the odometer has some dashes on it and then it flashes to zero, and then the Maint Reqd light will be off

  6. Release the button and start the engine

Once that goes off then you let the button go and you’re done

So that’s the way to do it on a 2006 Toyota Corolla. For your info, this operation work for the ninth generation of the Toyota Corolla (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 model years). So if you have any questions, you can put them in the comment section. Have a great day!
