How’s it going, everybody? Today I’m going to show you how to reset the oil life or maintenance light in your Honda Fit. This is a simple DIY money-saving hack. You can do this yourself at home and never spend more money than is necessary for your next oil change.

By the way, it’s been a year since I had this car almost, so I’m going to change the engine oil. You should change it every time you either at once every year or every time it gets down to 15%. So I’ve done it, and now it’s time to reset the system.

I just changed the oil in my 2012 Honda Fit, and I need to reset the oil life light. If you want to reset it, what you have to do is:

  1. Turn the key on

If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the POWER button twice without step on any pedal

  2. Go to the Oil Life screen

When things light up on your dash you need to push the selector button which is right here and go through until you get to the Oil Life

In order to reset this, you push and hold the button for 10 seconds until it flashes

  4. Depress the knob again

Once it starts to flash you take your finger off and then hold it again for another 5 seconds until it resets to 100%

With Steering Button

  • Put the key in the ignition and get the ignition on
  • Then go to the steering wheel and you click that ▲or▼ button so that allows you to toggle through all of these different screens. So you go to the VEHICLE SETTINGS
