2004-2009 Cadillac XLR Engine Oil Life Light Reset – Previous Cadillac roadster, the Allanté had beautiful to have been designed by Pininfarina, it was not as successful as hoped by Cadillac. Supremacy in this segment with the Mercedes SL was not worried by the Allante, too exotic to convince lovers of luxury outside regions of the US center. With the new XLR, launched in 2003 (2004 in Europe), Cadillac presented the record straight, drawing largely ingredients behind the success of the SL roadster from Mercedes, including a retractable hard roof. It follows the general line of the Evoque concept car presented in 2000.
XLR production was interrupted in the spring of 2009. In 2006, Cadillac is launching a sports version of its luxury roadster. It differs from the basic version with a mesh grille and its engine: a 4.4 L V8 developing 448 hp compressed. In its home market, the XLR is selling less than its main competitor: the Mercedes SL. Sales of the XLR in France is anecdotal, even compared to those of the Mercedes SL sold over the same period, to 913 copies.
